As we turn our thoughts away from work for a few days do have a read of this article from one of our SocialWork 2000 locums. Not only is it inspirational but there are some truly stunning photographs worth looking at.
My name is Gary Baxter and I have been working for SocialWork2000 since around October last year. I was originally very worried about the prospect of agency working as up until that point I had always been employed full time. However, I have found the flexibility extremely useful in allowing me to spend more time following my other passion; wildlife photography.

I have just returned from an amazing voyage around the Antarctic Peninsula in search of images to add to my
website. These included penguins and leopard seals, but also some incredible land and sea-scapes. The quality of light in this last pristine wilderness has to be seen to be believed.
I am now compiling images for a Licentiate membership of the Royal Photographic Society and putting together an exhibition of my work which will hopefully go on display later in the year. Sales from my website have started to take off recently and I have been asked to supply images in DVD format for several customers. There may be a book in the pipeline and a future trip to

Australia is in the planning stages following discussion with a researcher in Tasmania.
Don’t believe it is all fun and games though. We sailed through the Drake Passage in some of the worst storms ever recorded since our ship was put into service and on the return leg of the voyage passed through a hurricane!
