Comedy night with Sarah Millican

SocialWork 2000 staff and locums recently enjoyed a night out at the Bedford Corn Exchange to see 'Live at the Apollo' regular Sarah Millican. The show was absolutely hilarious - many of us had tears streaming down our faces as Sarah continued with her performance, joke after joke, funny anecdote after funny anecdote!

Her outrageously funny 'Chatterbox' tour continues until April, but is apparently sold out - and we can understand why! However, with another tour scheduled for the Autumn, you might get the chance to see this must see and incredibly talented writer and stand up comedian! more...

We really enjoy arranging social events for our locums and are pleased when we receive positive feedback. Locum social worker Sharon Charles contacted us with thanks to say

"Can I just say again a big thank you for a brilliant night last night! It was fantastic to have such a laugh and really essential in these days of doom and gloom, it should be mandatory! It's these kinds of things that make SocialWork 2000 stand out as an agency for me".

We are already looking to plan a series of social events for the year ahead, so please do look out for further information. If you have any suggestions for a social event please do not hesitate to contact Shelli.

MK Recruitment Adviser Mags is a grandma again!!

Our MK Recruitment Advisor Mags became a very proud grandma for the second time on 5th January when her daughter Holly gave birth to her second child Isla Rose, a little sister for Jessie Grace who is now 2 years old. The whole family are delighted, despite Mags' absolute conviction the baby would be a boy – several blue items have had to be returned and swapped for pink ones!

After initial reservation from Jessie, you can now see she is fully on board with having a baby sister to help look after!!

Rock Choir coming to Wembley soon!!

On Sunday 15th May, thousands of rock choir members from all over the UK will descend on Wembley Stadium. One of these members will be our Recruitment Manager, Emma Blaker, who attends the Amersham late choir.

Rock Choir went to the Hammersmith Apollo last year and the event proved a huge success - all went home having enjoyed the most amazing and uplifting time.

Rock Choir are aiming to build on last year's formula and provide its members with another fabulous experience - just imagine the emotion and spectacle of singing together with - potentially by May - 8000 fellow Rock Choir members from all around the country at such an iconic venue!

ITV is in the process of making a TV entertainment documentary about Rock Choir! They hope to broadcast it in early June 2011 on ITV1 and filming is due to finish in May this year.

The ITV documentary team will be filming this Wembley event as they plan to feature it as the pinnacle episode of the series. Keep your eyes peeled...

    See www.rockchoir.com for further information.
