At SocialWork 2000 we assist our locums to access funding for a wide range of training and learning opportunities across all fields of social work, relevant to the work they are undertaking.

Post Registration Training and Learning (PRTL)

All registered social workers are aware of the need to complete PRTL to maintain their registration. SocialWork 2000 is committed to supporting locums to access training opportunities whilst they are in post with us.

SocialWork 2000 offers both in-house training using a local provider, and also sources training from external bodies/organisations.

Our placed locums are eligible to receive a SocialWork 2000 CPD portfolio (to maintain records of their professional development and to assist in demonstrating GSCC re-registration requirements).

Career development and support

Our recruitment advisers have a varied role within SocialWork 2000. As part of the support they provide to locums, they are available to meet regularly with you to discuss anything from career development and training opportunities to any issues arising from your work.

At SocialWork 2000 we place a great deal of importance on the happiness and wellbeing of our locums. As such, our recruitment advisers are on hand to meet you at a place and time convenient to you - coffee break, over lunch etc - to discuss how your work is going or to look at your career development in more detail.

We would urge all locums working through us to make the most of the unique service that we offer.

These meetings also provide the opportunity for you to give us that all-important feedback about our service - helping us to make improvements for both locums and employers.

As part of this ongoing support to you, we also offer help and advice with CV writing and interview skills and techniques.
